All Township Building are Closed to Visitors until April 1, 2020

OUR INTENTION DURING THIS CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC IS TO PROVIDE SERVICES AS BEST AS POSSIBLE BUT REQUEST THAT DEMAND FOR GOVERNMENT SERVICES BE MINIMIZED OVER THE NEXT SEVERAL WEEKS.

Township staffing levels will be minimal until Wednesday, April 1, 2020. If you need to need to access nonessential government services, please call the main township line at (610) 485-5881 and leave a voicemail on Ext. 200. (If you are experiencing an emergency please call 911). We will do everything possible to respond within 24 to 48 hours. REAL ESTATE TAXES

• The collection of real estate taxes at the Township Building scheduled for March 24, 25, and 26 will be rescheduled to April 21, 22, and 23 from 1-4 pm . The discount period for the collection of real estate taxes will be extended to April 30, 2020.

PERMITS

• Current permits received and not approved may be delayed for processing. Unfortunately we will not be able to process any new permits until the Township fully re-opens to the public.

INSPECTIONS

• Only essential outdoor inspections will be made while this partial shutdown is in place. In the event that you need an emergency permit or inspection, please call (610) 485-5881 Ext. 230. We will do our best to get back to you within 24 hours to determine if the inspection is necessary and will schedule accordingly.

SUB-DIVISION/LAND DEVELOPMENT

• Plans will not be accepted until the office re-opens. Current applications will be delayed and applicants will be notified. Time extensions will be requested if necessary.

RIGHT-TO-KNOW LAW REQUESTS

• All requests received and/or made pursuant to the Right-to-Know Law will be delayed until full Township operations resume on April 1, 2020.

TOWNSHIP MEETINGS

• All township meetings in the month of March are cancelled. PARKS/FACILITIES USE • Township Building will be closed to the public until April 1, 2020. Township Parks are closed to social gatherings. If you choose to visit one of the Township’s parks, you are reminded to adhere to the Governor’s request for social distancing and self- isolation. Field Usage Permits during the month of March are cancelled.

New government guidelines suggest the avoidance of social gatherings of more than 10 people, Rather than frequent restaurants, use delivery or take out services and limit your time exposed to large groups of people.

We apologize in advance for any inconveniences is may cause but our major concerns is the health and well-being or our employees and residents during the global pandemic. Thank you for your patience during these unprecedented times.

Trash & Recycling

  • Trash will be collected on the regularly scheduled trash days; including bulk trash pickups.
  • Recycling will be collected your normal recycling days. Please bare with us as we operate with a limited staff. If your trash and recycling has not been collected at its usual time please allow additional time for removal.
  • The Free Shredding Event scheduled for March 28th has been cancelled. The next Upper Chichester Township shredding event is scheduled to take place October 10th 2020
