Stormwater Improvements Planned on State Highways in Upper Chichester Township and Delaware County
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that stormwater improvements are planned next week on state highways in Delaware and Montgomery counties, under a $14.9 million project to upgrade stormwater management and facilities on more than 90 state highways across the five-county Philadelphia region.
Motorists are advised of lane closures on Monday, February 5, through Friday, February 9, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, at the following locations:
- Route 452 (Market Street) between Beech Street and Washington Avenue in Upper Chichester Township, Delaware County.
- Wynnewood Road between Athens Avenue and Argyle Road in Lower Merion Township, Montgomery County.
- Route 463 (Forty Foot Road) between Clemens Road and Koffel Road in Hatfield Township, Montgomery County.
- Cross Road between Route 113 (Harleysville Pike) and Route 73 (Skippack Pike) in Skippack and Lower Salford townships, Montgomery County.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. The schedule is weather dependent.
Highway Materials, Inc of Flourtown, Montgomery County, is the general contractor on this project, which is financed with 100 percent state funds.
