Parks and Playgrounds
All Township parks and ball fiends are maintained by the Public Works Department staff. Several part time employees are hired throughout the summer months to lend support to this growing staff. The Public Works Department repairs and services several of the Township equipment when applicable. Staff Members have been educated on the construction and maintenance of our playground equipment as well as building maintenance for the Township’s Fieldhouse.
The Upper Chichester Township Fieldhouse was opened in 2003, located on Furey Road behind the Police Station. The Furey Road Complex is equipped with two (2) Men’s softball fields, two (2) girls Softball fields on the upper lot, skate park, and a large area with picnic tables for your families enjoyment. In addition, on the ground and across the street is a fully equipment playground and pond fully stocked each year. Rest room facilities are open daily to the public. The concession stand is open seasonally.
In addition to the Fieldhouse and Furey Road Complex there are 5 additional parks throughout the Township for the enjoyment of our children. Parks are located at Kingsman Rd, Peach St, Johnson Ave, Excelsior Village, and Arlington St in Twin Oaks. If anyone should notice problems with equipment at any of the above parks, we ask you to contact the Public Works Department immediately to prevent any injury to our kids.
