Route 322 Conchester Highway Project
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s (PennDOT) improvement of US 322 (Conchester Highway) is being done in cooperation with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). The project begins at the US 322 intersection with US Route 1 in Concordville (Concord Township), passes through Bethel Township and extends to a point east of the PA Route 452 (Market Street) interchange in Upper Chichester Township.
The project addresses the immediate issues of traffic congestion and safety by widening US 322 (Conchester Highway) from two-lanes to four-lanes, by separating eastbound from westbound traffic with a grass median, and by managing access with improvements to the intersections that channel traffic to and from the busy arterial.
