In Pennsylvania, the new PA Flood Risk Tool [lnks.gd] developed by Penn State University in collaboration with the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA) and FEMA Region 3 features dashboards, reports, new data, and flood visualizations. The PA Flood Risk Tool is designed to be accessible to floodplain managers, insurance agents, developers, real estate agents, local planners and community members. The tool lets users explore flood risk for a particular area or property by navigating an interactive map that includes the best available flood data (Zone A Cross Sections, Preliminary Flood Zones, Depth Grids, and others), as well as roads, aerial imagery, and, where available, parcel data. The PA Flood Risk Tool can be used from a desktop computer or a cell phone. |
